YEAR 10 INDUCTION CAMP TO LAKE BENNETT

LAST TERM we went to Lake Bennett Resort for our Year 10 Induction Camp. On camp we did some team building activities, played some footy, went swimming in the lake, did lots of canoeing and went fishing.

We got split up into small teams so we could work together and compete against each other. We had a fishing competition which Jed and I won easy!

For the Team Building we did Egg Tossing. We did this stuff in groups, for that you have your team lined up ready to catch the uncooked egg and you have a thrower, the team with the most points wins.

With the footy we just made teams up and went with the flow. It was a lot of fun and good for us boys to start bonding like a real footy team. With the fishing me and Jed cleaned up and between us caught about 30 fish and I nailed the catch of the trip, with a black brim. At first we couldn’t find where the fish were but when we got the right spot and lures all us boys started to clean up.

Well I can’t really explain the canoeing because it was havoc with the boys falling out and having to swim. We had to do a relay but more people were stuck on the island than in the canoes. But Shaun’s team ended up winning in the end.

In the end the induction camp was a good way to start of 2009 for our Year 10 Boys. I would like to thank Nathan, Rory, Damien and Cyril for organizing the camp, we all had a really good time.
