YEAR 5, 6 & 7 END OF YEAR REWARD TO KINGSTON REST

On Friday, November 13 East Kimberley Academy staff took 12 boys out to Kingston Rest for a BBQ and a swim on the man-made lake as a reward for their hard work during the year.

We headed off at 8am in two Troopy’s set for a day of swimming and having fun. It took about 45 minutes to get there and once we arrived we all jumped on to the boat and headed out on to the massive dam.

We stopped at one place to have a swim, paddle and enjoy the magic scenery for about two hours then we cooked up the BBQ while the boys stayed in the water.

Naturally, there were a few bombies off the boat. After lunch we went for a cruise around parts of the lake until it was nearly time to head back to shore.

The boys had one last swim, dried off and we headed back to school. All the boys said it was a fantastic day and they can’t wait until the next boat trip in three weeks.
