GFA VISIT NICKEL SMELTER

On Wednesday, November 11, Goldfields Football Academy members were taken on site visit around Kalgoorlie Nickel Smelter. Firstly we were given a safety induction, as required on site for all visitors, then secondly we were kitted out in PPE and the day was a very hot 38 degrees.

Thankfully lunch and same cold drinks / water were provided. Over lunch we talked about jobs / apprenticeships on and around KNS on offer. Through our partnership with Nickel West / Colby Crane job opportunities has arise for our young men.

Thanks you to BHP Nickel West for the opportunity and support of the Academy in the Goldfields. BHP Nickel West has been a major supporter of Clontarf for over a decade.
