BIG BOOST FOR QUINO

Year 7 Clontarf member Quentin Clark was recently awarded the Doris Price Memorial Scholarship. During Recess in front of a packed staff room, along with his Nan and Pop, Quentin was presented with the Award by Doris’s Daughter.

Doris was a member of the Mildura Auxiliary for Deaf Children for 40 years from 1954 to 1994. She passed away in 2009.

As a volunteer she worked very hard to raise money for hearing impaired students at The Victorian School for Deaf Children in Melbourne, and also for hearing impaired students in Mildura. The Scholarship is awarded every year to a student in Mildura.

Quentin has been a super addition to our Academy this year who never likes to miss out on anything we do. He is also still currently running at 100% attendance for the year. Quentin plans to use the scholarship money for his schooling needs as they arise.
